Jatamansi oil
Jatamansi oil is distilled from dried roots of Nardostachys jatamansi
Uses and Advance Studies:
- Due to its musky, earthy, herbaceous, camphoraceous, woody and balsamic odour, this oil can be used in a variety of perfume formulations to give a special touch in low concentrations.
- In larger dosages, it can be used in oriental-type perfumes.
- The oil is also used as a tonic, stimulant, and antispasmodic.
- It is used for treating epilepsy, hysteria, convulsions, infections, and palpitating heart.
- Root oil, when combined with other ingredients, is useful for curing snake bites and scorpion bites.
